Freedom Heartsong Inspires With New Album ‘The Humane Experience’

Los Angeles, CA – Blues-rock artist Freedom Heartsong has released his newest album, The Humane Experience. The 11-track album combines the soulful lyrics of blues and the upbeat energy of rock to inspire listeners to find strength amidst intense suffering, to not only survive, but thrive and create the life they have always dreamed of living. The Humane Experience is available to stream and download on digital platforms worldwide.

The Humane Experience intertwines themes of emotional vulnerability and optimistic persistence. Freedom Heartsong wrote the album as a response to immense tragedy. He had lost all of his livelihood and income simultaneously due to the pandemic. He spent a year fighting for his daughter and his rights as a father. His best friend and bandmate was diagnosed with terminal cancer and passed away three months later. A massive storage unit full of his tools and instruments needed to create his music and art was stolen. Through all of this, he kept writing the album as a way to stay alive, tell his story, make it through one more day at a time, and to ultimately create the life of his dreams. And he did, as he confidently states today, “I went through the most painful and beautiful times while creating this album, but I made it through and I am stronger, wiser, and happier than I have ever been in my life. The songs on this album are for anyone who has ever gone through or is going through intense suffering.” The tone of the album is set by previously released singles: “Evil Grieves,” an inspiring song about letting go of the bad to savor the good, and “Warrior of the Light,” an upbeat account of harnessing positivity and unity to overcome life’s obstacles. Blending strong guitar riffs and upbeat drums with vulnerable and soulful lyrics, The Humane Experience “is a journey from darkness to light, a message of inspiration, courage, perseverance, and optimism to help make the human experience a little bit more humane,” he confesses.

Since childhood, Freedom Heartsong has found inspiration in music. A self-taught musician, his talents include both acoustic and electric guitars, vocals, piano, banjo, mandolin, and harmonica. Inspired by the multi-faceted flair and heartfelt messaging of musicians like Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, and Bob Marley, he channels authentic strength into the narrative of each of his songs. Beginning his musical career with a cross-country road trip from Virginia to his new home California and performing around the world in places including Costa Rica, Ghana, Canada, Mexico, and Panama, Freedom Heartsong’s journey as a musician has been laden with adventure shaped by personal growth. “My life experience has molded me so powerfully into the musician I am today,” he reflects. “I have made it through, and I am ready to share this message of hope, truth, love, determination, and triumph with the world.”

Freedom Heartsong’s music is honest about both the good and the bad, infused with uplifting sentiments gleaned from both joyous and difficult times. His new album, The Humane Experience, is an authentic reflection of his journey through loss and rebuilding, and offers inspiration to anyone struggling to overcome life’s challenges. The Humane Experience can now be streamed on digital music platforms worldwide. The album was mixed by Benjamin Cunill of Left Coast Recording and mastered by four-time Grammy award-winning engineer Gavin Lurssen.

Freedom Heartsong will be performing at the Alameda County Fair in Pleasanton, CA on June 30th, PierFront Wine & Brew in Avila Beach, CA on July 23rd, and The Hotel Cafe in Hollywood, CA on August 27th. Rooted Releases Lively Debut Single, “Waiting”

Youth Indie-Rock Band Touches On Not Always Getting What You Want

Los Angeles, CA – Fast-rising young Asian-American indie-rock band, Rooted, has released their debut energetic single, “Waiting,” an anthem about wanting something in life, but not quite getting it. This retro-modern song is infused with influences of eighties and nineties pop that can be heard throughout the track, as the band classifies it as “older music with more depth and meaning.” “Waiting” is now available for streaming and download on platforms worldwide.

The young middle-school rockers of Rooted are composed of singer-songwriters Shalom Lim and Genevieve Thai, with Valen Shieh on bass guitar, Karissa Lee on guitar, and Selina Ye on keyboard and synth. “Waiting” intrigues listeners with an irresistible melodic hook, combined with heartfelt lyrics about a crush that seems out of reach. “The idea behind “Waiting” is about wanting something or someone in life, but being so afraid of not getting it that you don’t even dare to try,” explains Lim. “Sometimes the expectations and goals that people have of themselves can overwhelm them to the point of a mental and emotional shutdown.” The delicate vocals combined with polished melodies effortlessly intertwine the band dynamic, making the song meaningful and memorable. “Waiting” was recorded & mixed by Mike Post (She & Him, Local Natives) at Moosecat Recording Studio and mastered by 4-time Grammy award-winning engineer, Will Borza.

Rooted is a five-member indie pop-rock band from the Los Angeles suburbs of the San Gabriel Valley, whose shining artistry far surpasses the members’ chronological ages. The middle school rockstars evolved from performing covers by Guns N’ Roses, Journey, and Echosmith, to releasing their own music. Rooted has built a substantial following with performances at carnivals, street fairs, school events, battles of the bands, and in 2022, onstage at Pasadena Eclectic Music Festival and the massive Los Angeles County Fair in Pomona to commemorate AAPI weekend. The band also participated in the Los Angeles College of Music’s annual program, “Summer Xperience,” which was mentored by faculty members with platinum credits, and their performances and musicality were both lauded and uplifted.

Charismatic, authentic, and exhilarating, Rooted presents fresh music with the power to open doors — a vibrant soundtrack for a welcome future. Their energetic debut single, “Waiting” is now available on streaming services worldwide. A music video for “Waiting” will be released later this month. The A.M.s Release Debut Single, “Torn Vine”

Seattle, WA – The A.M.s released their newest single, “Torn Vine.” The folk and blues-infused track blends rich, smooth vocals from Adrian Libertini with imploring, driving piano from Mariko Langan. “Torn Vine” is now available to stream on digital music platforms worldwide.

The passionate and raw lyricism shown in this newest track gives listeners a glimpse into The A.M.s’ wide range of emotional depth. “I wrote these lyrics nine months before my milestone birthday. I was thinking about my birth parents, where they were in the world, and perhaps forty years later, they would be thinking about me too,” says Langan. “When you’re adopted, you just want to know who you look like, and who you can unfairly blame for all your bad traits.” The track focuses on identity, and the confusing feelings adoptees can face. “Am I accepted, am I enough? Are these vines sutured with love?” is one of the profound lines presented in this single, highlighting questions that resonate with many adoptees. “Adrian sent me his musical idea: a lyrical line over strumming harmonics, and I immediately heard percussive piano underneath it. We’ve been building on that idea ever since, creating layers upon layers further illustrating the complex notion of identity,” says Langan. The track is just the beginning of this journey of self-discovery and reconnection.

The indie-folk duo consists of Adrian Libertini (vocals, guitar, bass) and Mariko Langan (piano, backing vocals), long-distance friends that met when Libertini tuned Langan’s piano. He asked her if she wanted to play together, and soon The A.M.s was born. Currently, they are writing and producing music separately across the West Coast — Libertini is based in California, and Langan is in Washington. Despite the distance, the duo has created over 50 songs and is working towards releasing their first album later this year. Their debut album, Ignite the Sky, was recorded at Earwig Studio in Seattle, WA with Jason Edwards on drums.

The A.M.s’ debut single Torn Vine” introduces the heartfelt project and is the first single off their upcoming album, Ignite the Sky. The track is available to stream worldwide on digital music platforms. Make sure to follow The A.M.s’ journey by keeping up with them on Instagram @the_a.m.s_music.

Berried Alive Release New Single “Poisonberry”

Portland, OR – Charles and Kaylie Caswell – the pear behind the Portland, Oregon-based outfit Berried Alive – have donut again, releasing “Poisonberry,” a track that touches on the weight taken on when shouldering the pain and personal struggles of someone we love. Focused on the concept of “caring versus carrying,” the new track identifies the necessity of healthy boundaries that prevent compassion fatigue. “Poisonberry” is streaming now on all digital platforms.

“Poisonberry” is the 4th single taken from their forthcoming 15-song full-length, an album that pushes the boundaries of Berried Alive, both sonically and emotionally. “These songs represent a lot of different styles and genres of music,” the band admits, addressing the explosion of sound found on the new record. “We personally listen to a lot of different styles of music, and we like different things about each style, so we’ve incorporated some elements of our favorite styles into one sound.”

The results have been egg-splosive. CLASH kicked off the year, highlighting the band’s ability to blur the limes of genre using the lead single, “Sit There Like A Lemon,” stating it “melds together EDM, rock, metal, and vivid pop textures.” Highlighting the band’s hope of normalizing difficult conversations by tackling the complexities of mental health, Wonderland confessed that the dark and triumphant track “Pearanoid,” the second released from the forthcoming LP, proves that “there is no darkness which Berried Alive cannot overcome.” Prior to “Poisonberry,” the single “Melon-Choly’” used introspective lyrics to tell the story from the perspective of an imaginary rockstar and zooms in on the grueling life of spending extended periods away from home and the emotional toll of surviving another grinding tour.

“Poisonberry” reinforces the recurring theme of the record – that nothing is im-popsicle if you refuse to cake your eye off the prize. You shrimply have to do whatever it takes to overcome the obstacles that may be in front of you. Like the previous three singles, it spotlights elements of depression, loneliness, anxiety, paranoia, and other symptoms that many people suffer through frequently. These themes mirror the experiences Charles and Kaylie encountered during their engagement and first year of their marriage. Craving a butter life for themselves, the couple refused to cave to the pear pressure to follow the standard industry blueprint. Ditching studio time and traditional tour routings, the duo decided to relish their time together.

Taking matters into their own hands has been the best path for Berried Alive to dill with the workload that comes with being a creator. The results have been considerable. As Charles writes, produces, mixes, and masters the outfit’s music, which has gathered nearly 50-melon streams globally, and spawned five studio albums featuring 30 pun-based singles, some of which have caught the attention of Mötley Crüe’s Tommy Lee and Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello, Kaylie contributes lyrics and the occasional basslines, while creating and designing the band’s clothing brand and streetwear line, which was recently spotlighted by Lil’ Pump, who supported the Pearasite Collection. Their unique line includes wearable art like bomber jackets, a varsity jacket style sweater, sneakers, joggers, and hoodies, which all feature the band’s adorable strawberry and crossbones logo.

Like their music, which they’ve created with the intention of helping people feel connected and less alone in the world, they hope that by creating in a way that is accessible and impactful for the everyday person, they can provide some encourage-mint to help people choose to juice be themselves.

“Poisonberry” is now available to stream on all digital platforms. To keep up with the latest music from Berried Alive, follow them on Instagram @berriedaliveofficial and visit BerriedAliveOfficial.com.

Ada Marques Releases Dreamy Debut Single, “Bell”

Los Angeles, CA – Rising indie-pop artist Ada Marques has released her debut single, “Bell.” The song takes a captivating and honest look at how our prior relationships can distort our self-image and impact the way we approach future opportunities. “Bell” is now available on digital music platforms worldwide.

Using a powerful build of instrumentals to create an emotional wall of sound and transparent storytelling with heartfelt vocals, “Bell” zooms in on the agonizing feeling of being forgotten by someone you can’t let go of. Beginning as an acoustic whisper, meant to represent the insecurities and timidness felt by Marques, the dreamlike indie-folk track, produced by two-time Grammy-nominated Chris Reynolds, builds into a bold explosion of strings and horns, celebrating her decision to rise up, champion herself, and release her emotions candidly. Reinforcing that it is on us, and not on those who’ve damaged us, to dictate what life we will end up living, Marques uses “Bell” to gently remind her listeners to put their ghosts to rest, and stop replaying and reliving the same moments over and over again in our head.

As an only child, Marques admits that she lives in her own head sometimes. She has also always had a level of intimacy with songwriting that is unique and different from most people. At times, her relationship with music felt as vital to her as other people’s connection to their best friend. Music made her feel alive and loved, and she couldn’t get enough of it. Each night, while her aunt was away at work, Marques would sneak into her bedroom and spend hours sampling and studying each of the albums in her CD collection, connecting emotionally with each artist she discovered including Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez, and Stevie Nicks. “The way they would write their stories so plainly and bluntly yet gracefully inspired me,” she admits, noting their influence on her own style of songwriting. Uncovering Taylor Swift’s debut album, Marques realized for the first time that songs don’t just happen; they’re created by musicians. Instantly, she was inspired to try to unlock her own abilities as a storyteller.

From that moment on, she began writing about everything around her, from family and friends, to whatever she’d seen on her ride home, watched on TV, or recently read. As she grew up and navigated high school, boys, and the dramas surrounding both, she realized that songwriting was actually an outlet that kept her sane and release her emotions. With the encouragement from a mentor and the inspiration of other female musicals she had always looked up to, Ada found herself considering releasing her music to the public, a dream she had always been passionate about, but too afraid to explore.

“Bell” represents her first step down that path. Prior to its release, she has already begun to see the rewards of finding the courage to share her music with her peers. Snippets of the track have already begun to resonate with listeners online, rocketing Marques to over 12,000 followers on TikTok. You can join them in following Ada Marques and her unique journey as a musician, and stay updated on what else she has to come by following her Instagram and TikTok  @adatheband.

Dalton Cyr Releases New Single, “Dying To Love You”

Singer-Songwriter Channels an Emotional Narrative with His Latest Track

Los Angeles, CA – Multi-instrumentalist Dalton Cyr’s most recent single, “Dying To Love You,” dives into an all too familiar love story. Cyr draws in listeners by pouring his heart into the genuine lyrics, backed by a guitar-heavy pop melody. “Dying To Love You” is now available to stream on digital music platforms worldwide.

Dalton Cyr has dedicated his life to performance arts since the age of 12 when he first began touring. This experienced background in the industry shines through in his vocal performance, where his falsetto takes center stage, highlighting the delicate love story of “Dying To Love You.” Cyr’s vocals aren’t the only impressive sound on this track, as a short bridge boasts his talent on the guitar as well. The young singer-songwriter may come off as a hopeless romantic in his latest single, but the love story presented is far from perfect. “I wrote this song to capture the helpless feeling of being trapped in a hot and cold relationship,” explains Cyr. “The toxicity of emotional high highs and low lows takes a toll on the psyche, hence the title, ‘Dying To Love You.'” The lyrics surround a yearning for love, but not without recognizing the difficulties of a relationship. Cyr’s raw vocals help to paint an intimate look into the song’s romantic narrative. While Cyr is the lead creative mind on “Dying to Love You,” other instrumentalists are seen with Sean Hurley on bass, Victor Indrizzo on drums, and Roger Manning playing the keyboard. The single was produced, mixed, and mastered by Mikal Blue (OneRepublic, Colbie Caillat, Jason Mraz).

21-year old Florida native Dalton Cyr is a high-energy performer who captivates audiences with powerful vocals and lively guitar riffs. This clean, string-dominated sound draws inspiration from artists such as John Mayer, Ed Sheeran, and Jack Johnson. As an actor with credits in Pretty Little Liars and A History of Radness, Cyr feels more than comfortable onstage. He has performed live on multiple tours in front of audiences as large as 50,000, opening for artists such as Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat.

Ladders Releases New Enigmatic Single, “Dead Rose”

Indian-American Artist Highlights The Struggles of Growing Up With Social Media

Los Angeles, CA – Alt-pop artist Ladders has just released her latest single, “Dead Rose,” an alternative pop track that addresses the challenges of maintaining a genuine personality despite being judged by society. The song’s delicate vocals allow room for the instrumental melodies to shimmer, and Ladders’ relatable message – struggling to find oneself while trying to fit in – and connect with listeners. “Dead Rose” is now available to stream and download on all digital platforms.

Ladders shares her struggles of finding her true character, attributing some of these identity issues to the dominance of social media. She explains this need to fit in the digital world, saying, “somewhere it drained me of my true energy, and I’m not what I appeared to be, so I wrote a song about it.” She expands upon this overarching narcissism in “Dead Rose,” pointing out how people are only concerned with how life looks on the surface level. Ladders mentions that social media has been a prominent focus of her life since she was 13, and this hyper fixation on the world of digital media has been bad for her mental health. Her blend of techno-pop instrumentals and passionate vocals are reminiscent of artists such as Lorde or Billie Eilish, and Ladders brings all the emotion of a vocalist like Adele. This alternative style of pop music allows room for a narrative to be told. Juxtaposing two vastly different soundscapes, Ladders smudges the lines of genre, defiantly conveying softness without seeming sentimental and embedding euphoric and atmospheric beats into “Dead Rose” without it becoming a bop. “Dead Rose” was written by Ladders and Anwoy and masters by Josh Florez. Anwoy, alongside songwriting, is a guitarist, composer, and the genius producer of this song, adding elements of pop, electronic, and jazz, breathing life into the track. This is the second song Ladders and Anwoy have worked together on, having plans for many more collaborations in the future.

Born and raised in Mumbai, India, Vrinda Padia, known musically as Ladders, has been exposed to a variety of cultures and musical styles. Her stage name ‘Ladders’ comes from her onstage personality and the desire to always be climbing upward and reaching for something greater. She started her musical training in Hindustani Classical and has since transitioned to a songwriter and a Western vocalist.  Her unique style is a blend of rich vocal tones, experimenting with electronic and indie-pop production. Using life experiences as her inspiration, Ladders’ music reflects specific times and feelings of moving from place to place over the past several years. The lyrics in her music unravel the contradictory ideas surrounding detachment, existence, and the power of melancholy.

Jakk Fynn Exerts Resilient Anthem for Loving Self with “Meow”

Los Angeles, CA – Following the release of his single “Don’t Call,” Jakk Fynn is continuing the confidence found from deep introspection with his latest song, “Meow.” An empowering track rooted in Fynn’s experience of feeling outcasted while internalizing his transgender identity, his declaration of authenticity and faith seeks to help others by maintaining a positive mentality. “Meow” is now available to stream on digital music platforms worldwide.

Co-written by longtime producer Danny Balistocky and Jakk Fynn, and produced by Balistocky, “Meow” is a track filled with sweet synths and warm waves of vocals. Unveiling his resilience from the ongoing mental health issues suffered while discovering himself, “‘Meow,’ touches on these daily struggles while simultaneously reminding myself to stay in the present in light of the impermanence of everything,” says Fynn. “Even though my struggles are rooted in my queer experience, I wanted to write a song that was still relatable for anyone struggling with anxiety, depression, or loneliness in hopes that they’ll feel a little more seen, validated, and less alone.” Although written from queer experiences, Fynn hopes to cultivate a track that brings listeners a sense of solace, even when dealing with various mental health struggles.

Jakk Fynn has been used to unfamiliar territory all his life. The singer-songwriter grew up embracing the likes of Nirvana, The Beach Boys, and ‘NSYNC but had a difficult time earning the support of those around him as he embarked on his musical journey. While building his conviction for self-love, Fynn became aware of the lack of transmasculine representation in the pop space. His authenticity and candidness from his experiences have supplied stories to narrate in his music and prove to be the catalyst for his tough, secure attitude and consciousness. His music has been touted by Vogue, The Advocate, HuffPost, Billboard, Alt Press, and many more.

“Meow” will be followed by an official music video out on June 8th. Jakk Fynn will be performing alongside various queer artists at Pride celebrations, including the Milwaukee Pridefest on June 4th, Venice Pride Festival on June 5th, and Trans Pride via the Los Angeles LGBT Center on June 18th. Earlier this month, he performed alongside the likes of Dan Reynolds and Willow at LoveLoud Festival. “Meow” is now streaming on all digital platforms. To stay up to date with Jakk Fynn, follow him on Instagram and TikTok @JakkFynn, or visit JakkFynn.com.

Nice Vice Debuts Attention-Grabbing Rock EP, First Dose

Toronto Native Balances Highs and Lows on His First Record

Los Angeles, CA – Indie-rock artist Nice Vice has just released his first EP, First Dose. The EP features a collection of tracks created over the last two years after being stuck in isolation due to the pandemic. The songs surround themes of new love and personal growth and bring in a variety of sounds from the umbrella genre of indie-rock. First Dose is now available to download and stream on digital platforms worldwide.

Seth Horst, known musically as Nice Vice, spent over two years in quarantine, writing and memorizing every part of First Dose, while teaching himself the techniques to self-record the EP. “All the time stuck at home inspired some serious reflection which I think came out in this project,” says Horst. “New love, lost love, and introspection.” His previously released singles from the debut EP, “Bloom” and “No Ends,” gave fans a first look into the record and highlighted the heavy 90s rock influence. Both tracks were accompanied by music videos which are available on YouTube. The EP’s closing track, “Simpatico,” uses heartfelt vocals and powerful instrumentals to tell a personal story of love. While the dominant sound of indie-rock easily reels in listeners with catchy melodies, Nice Vice has a truly unique story to tell with this EP. “Half of the tracks deal with different stages of being in love, some good, some bad, and just the general feeling of new love,” explains Horst. “The other theme is ego death: Dealing with your own personality, breaking points, and becoming someone else.” Horst carefully measures his sounds and lyrics to reflect these two themes, providing an introspective, yet a relatable handful of tracks. First Dose was mixed by Zak van Zeumeren and mastered by Theodore Papadopoulos.

Originally hailing from Toronto, Canada, Nice Vice has since relocated to Los Angeles, where he carves out his own sound in the indie-rock scene. His music appeals to both modern and classic rock fans, with nods to his biggest inspirations, such as Pearl Jam, Counting Crows, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Nice Vice boasts a broad range of musical influence, which can be seen in the stunning transitions within the songs on First Dose. His music has been featured on Kill the Music, Canadian Beats, Outloud Culture, Indie Wavves, Divine Magazine, and more.

First Dose is a collection of songs that give insight into the emotions Nice Vice has wrestled with over the past two years. The ebb and flow of new love and personal breakthroughs are all feelings reflected on this record. The EP is now available to stream on all digital platforms.
