Singer-songwriter Brandon Calano goes by the pseudonym, Becoming Young. The name represents the idea of letting go of who we aren’t, so we can become who we were meant to be all along. Lead singer Austin Walashek took inspiration for this song from his own interest in sci-fi and conspiracy-related events. He calls this single his “best piece of work” so far. As a former athlete, Austin Walashek started his music career to cope with a serious injury that ended his initial dreams of competing in the Olympics as a track and field decathlete. Walashek formed Wild Giants in 2018 as a way to expand past his traditionally acoustic performances. What began as a revolving door of musicians joining Walashek on stage has become the current 3-piece rock group we know today. In addition to Austin (vocals, guitar) Lyman Lipke (bass) and Cameron Agan (drums) round out the trio. San Diego, CA – Mrs. Henry has released their newest album, Keep on Rising – Act I: The Sex Sells, Love Drugs, Rock N Roll Society. The first act in their three-part rock opera, Keep On Rising is now available on all streaming platforms.

The much anticipated first act explores the beginning of the journey of the rock opera’s hero and main character, Mrs. Henry, in a futuristic tale where the lines of what is taboo and standard are blurred. Each song acts as a chapter in Mrs. Henry’s book. Guitarist Daniel Cervantes paints the picture of the rock opera’s setting as “an ultra-sexualized reality where drugs are available on every corner and rock and roll is a normalized way of life. There is no taboo, all is equal, nothing is sacred and everything we’ve ever known is subject to change with the wind.” Mrs. Henry, consisting of Cervantes on guitar, Blake Dean on bass, Chad Lee on drums, and Jody Bagley on the keyboard, has a rare band dynamic where each member contributes to lead vocals and takes over at different moments in the album. Blake Dean is the vocalist on the record’s first single, “I Don’t Want To Let You Go.” Cervantes explains, “this song finds our hero self-identifying for the first time as Mrs. Henry, bringing our story up to speed in the present day future and multi-universe of analog meets digital manipulation known as The Sex Sells, Love Drugs, Rock N Roll Society.” From the mesmerizing collection of vocal harmonies in the album’s intro, “Keep On Rising,” to the catchy groove of “Bye, Bye, Baby,” to the serenading of rock instruments flowing together in unison in the final installment of the rock opera, “The Sex Sells, Love Drugs, Rock N Roll Society,” Keep On Rising – Act 1, is a gift to rock fans with something for everyone. Recorded in several studios during the COVID-19 pandemic, the record was produced by Daniel Cervantes, engineered by Jordan Andreen, Nyx Jasmine, Omar Veytia (all of Big Fish Recording Studio), Jason Soda (Palomino Sound), and Travis Pavur (Valentine Recording Studio), mixed by Stephen Kaye (Sunking Studios) and mastered by Joe Bozzi (Bernie Grundman).

The San Diego-based rock and rollers got together in 2012 to form the band, Mrs. Henry. Together, Daniel Cervantes, Blake Dean, Chad Lee, and Jody Bagley have pushed the envelope of experimental new age rock while keeping the sounds and inspirations of America’s most recognized classic rock bands. The four talented singers and musicians join forces to bring a unique sound to modern rock ‘n’ roll. Los Angeles, CA — Emerging singer-songwriter, Zach Churchill, has just released his debut single, “Bartender.” The California native opens up about a near-death experience in a powerful ballad. The song is written out of gratitude for the bar manager who saved his life after finding him dying of an overdose on the bathroom floor. “Bartender” is available to download and stream on all digital platforms worldwide.

Zach Churchill balances raw, honest lyrics with moving instrumentals, resulting in a gut-wrenching portrayal of his battle with addiction. The swelling guitar alongside a driving drumline will captivate his audience as they are engulfed in the emotional undertones that vibrate through each verse. “In 2014, I overdosed on heroin at a bar after performing there,” Churchill explains his inspiration for the single. “Everyone left, and the bar closed. The bar manager was getting ready to leave when he saw the lights still on in the bathroom. He went to turn them off, but the door was locked. He got a key from the back office and returned to find me on the bathroom floor, dying.” The release coincides with National Substance Abuse Prevention Month and “Sober October”; two causes that hit home for Churchill. “If [the bartender] had just gone home that night without checking the bathroom, I wouldn’t be here today,” he states. “I have been sober from all drugs and alcohol ever since that event and it has completely changed my life. He gave me a second chance.” The song was written by Zach Churchill and Julian Coryell, who also produced and played on the track. Churchill also recruited Stevie Blacke on strings and Eva B. Ross on backing vocals to complete the sound.

With an expressively vulnerable voice, singer-songwriter Zach Churchill breathes life, love, and gratitude into absorbing narratives. His folk-rock style is influenced by legendary alternative and rock artists such as Elton John, Radiohead, and David Bowie. He attributes his vocal inspiration to jazz musician Chet Baker and Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant. Churchill began singing as a child, learned how to play the acoustic guitar at age 13, and began writing songs a few years later. He earned a degree in Music Industry Studies from CSUN after studying vocal performance at Saddleback College and CSUF. “Bartender” is the first single off of his debut collection, Heartbreak and Hope.

Singer-songwriter Marks New Musical Venture with Captivating Track

Nashville, TN — Nashville-based guitarist, producer, and singer Riley Owens has just released his latest track, “Camino.” What began as a casual improvisation turned into a lyrically rich and guitar-guided track about the abrupt end of a relationship. Catchy grooves paired with buoyant melodies make this song an infectious hit.

“I had been dating this girl, she was telling me about her day while I was noodling around on her guitar. I had that feeling ‘I need to record this right now,’ so I quickly started a voice memo. Moments later she sat down and told me she didn’t want to see me anymore. I went home, dropped that voice memo into Ableton, and “Camino” was born,” describes Owens. Through playful guitar and dynamic vocals that shift from delicate to commanding, Owens takes listeners on a journey of the ups and downs of recovering from the end of a relationship. “Camino” is now available to stream and download worldwide.

The name, “Camino,” stems from Camino Cielo in Santa Barbara. “I was living in Santa Barbara in the fall of 2020. I would head up to the mountains every day to write music. I need that kind of isolation to be honest with myself when I’m hunting for lyrics,” Owens explains. He ultimately relocated to Nashville to finish writing and producing his upcoming record, Emergence. While Music City is his home base these days, “the sound of Santa Barbara will live forever in this track,” he describes.

A multi-instrumentalist and record producer, Riley Owens was born and raised in Syracuse, New York, and studied Musicology at Cornell University before moving to California to pursue a career in music. Primarily a guitar player and singer, he writes and records all the instruments in his home studio. “Camino” was written and produced by Owens alongside co-producer Cyrus Elia. Elia completed the vision by guiding the production and arrangement, while drummer Francis Valentino was brought in to round out the rhythm section.
