Los Angeles, CA – Pop artist, Anie Delgado, dropped her inspiring new single, “Dancing While The World Is On Fire,” a lively, optimistic anthem promoting unity and togetherness. Uncomfortable change is something everyone deals with. “Dancing While The World Is On Fire” encourages listeners to find the enjoyable moments of humanity that are worth remembering. “This last year has been really difficult for just about everyone,” explains Delgado. “I was really inspired to see moments of unity and glimmers of humanity as we worked together to solve big issues like COVID, racial injustice, and climate change.” The song’s joyous beat accompanied by her sweet, silky voice creates an uplifting experience while spreading an important message. “It’s inspiring to see my generation coming together to enact change.” Delgado co-wrote the single with Sam Nicolosi (Warner Chappell), who also produced the track. “As I was writing, I realized a lot of my existential anxiety boils down to being concerned that our planet won’t be inhabitable in the future. That’s where all of the imagery in the song comes from and that’s what gave me the idea to collaborate with my friends at Zero Hour.” Alongside the single release, Delgado is launching a line of merchandise with proceeds being donated to Zero Hour. Using her platform even further, she will also be putting out a call to action on her TikTok channel for her fans to get involved in the conversation about climate change and to volunteer with Zero Hour.

For the upcoming music video, Delgado recruited Zero Hour and environmental activists like Jamie Margolin, Zanagee Artis, and Shane Coopersmith to help spread awareness to her fellow generation to aid in the mission of educating the world about climate change. The video, due out February 24, was directed by Brandon Buczek.

A native of Miami, Florida, Anie Delgado embraced her Cuban heritage growing up through food, music, and family. She received her first guitar at the age of nine and was quickly inspired by artists like Cher and Jewel as she was finding her voice. In her senior year of high school, Delgado became a rising star upon her admittance into The American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Growing up, MAK had an eclectic mix of hobbies. He learned piano at the age of three, before picking up the violin, and later joined the choir at his school. While nurturing his passion for sports in high school, MAK found himself balancing between being the orchestra’s concertmaster and the football team captain. He later found success as a D-1 football player and an entrepreneur before falling into recording music by accident. His best friend, producer Jared Feldman, invited MAK to a studio session as an outlet to escape the day-to-day stresses of life. Once MAK heard his voice through a recording, he was hooked. Psychedelic R&B Group Takes Listeners on An Introspective Expedition

Detroit, MI – Detroit’s psychedelic R&B outfit, Cousin Mouth, has released a new music video for their single, “New Memories,” an introspective story of facing your past, present, and future. Directed by Zach Hagy, the video starts with a groovy, persuasive guitar intro that shows Cousin Mouth’s lead singer Alex Burns, entering an old Cadillac. He takes a compelling drive through different parts of town, curiously passing by different versions of himself. The past experiences, selves, and relationships we all live with weigh on the present versions of ourselves. “This song is some of my reflections on how we confront and coexist with the past and how it affects our present and future,” says Burns. He eventually is face to face with himself and “The Muses,” who are played by background vocalists Supercoolwicked (Morgan Hutson) and Salakastar (Aja Dier). Burns is forced to battle the reality of what is in front of him and reflect on the life he wants to lead. The ability to overcome and live peacefully with this conflict is the central message Cousin Mouth wants to portray.

Cousin Mouth is the brainchild of songwriter and producer Alex Burns. Their sound is inspired by artists like James Blake, D’Angelo, and Todd Rundgren; moody and sultry R&B with some pop influence. The tone of their recently completed upcoming album, MayflowerPeacemakerHolyredeemer, reflects their signature groove, beat-based style mixed with a psychedelic-dreamy sound. Indie Alternative Duo Releases New Hypnotic Track

Los Angeles, CA – Indie/alternative duo Dark Side Of Light have unveiled their new,  intoxicating single “Moist.” Following the release of their unparalleled rendition of the Seals & Crofts classic, “Summer Breeze,” the pair delivers an innovative and captivating track that combines tactile lyrics with hypnotic, fuzzed out beats. “Moist” is now available to stream and download on digital music platforms worldwide.

The Indie/Alt duo, comprised of Nik Frost and Grant Conway, delivers ethereal vocals and deliciously dope bass lines in their new self-produced single “Moist.” The obscure and emotive track is reminiscent of bands like Radiohead, Massive Attack, Tame Impala, and Beck. “We didn’t want to approach the songs with conventional writing techniques, so we took it a step further, and instead of starting with ‘loops’ per se, we started with recording Grant playing live grooves we thought were sick and worked from that. From there, we were messing around with these really warped bass sounds and digitally stretching them. It brought out this unbelievable dirty ass sub frequency and spawned the song,” explains Frost. Alongside the melodic vocals and minimalistic lyrics, DSOL combines strange arrangements and compressed, live beats in their new track. “I purposefully did not go hardcore on the lyrics. Things are so far out these days, I felt it would serve the track more if I held back and made the lyrics vague and used double entendres instead of spelling out each act in the three-part sexual experience described in the song,” explains Frost.  “I have a friend who is absolutely disgusted by the word ‘Moist’ and also the word ‘Skin’, and as a joke, I started writing lyrics that included both words in the chorus and of course, I made it intentionally and overtly sexual for good measure,” Frost says. Eventually, after realizing the song had enormous potential,  the more overtly sexual lyrics were removed, and a more poetic take was created.

While Frost and Conway have collaborated for years, Dark Side Of Light is their first musical endeavor together. Drummer/producer Grant Conway was previously part of the Virgin America, signed band, Silver Jet, touring with Cheap Trick and Dogstar. At the same time, singer Nik Frost grew up heavily involved in the fine arts, exposing him to various music genres and the exuberant gay club scene in Barcelona, Spain. Frost started doing exhibitions and installations regularly at bars and nightclubs and was managed and produced as a musical artist, by the former manager of the Sex Pistols, enfant terrible, Malcolm McLaren for WEA International Records. Dark Side Of Light fuses their 60s and 90s influences with Trip Hop and underground club beats. They are heavily inspired by bands like Pink Floyd, The Beach Boys, Alt-J, David Bowie and LCD Soundsystem.
