Anthony Lazaro Collaborates With Musicians Around the World on “The Guest List”

Los Angeles, CA – Singer-songwriter Anthony Lazaro has released his third album, The Guest List, an antidote to isolation this past year amidst the world shutting down. Lazaro delves into various genres, from indie-folk and jazz to electronic pop with acoustic R&B features. For his new album, he collaborated with artists all over the world from places such as Germany, Canada, UK, Ukraine, Italy, Slovakia, and Nigeria. The Guest List is available for download on digital music platforms worldwide.

Anthony Lazaro’s The Guest List is an adventure through the trying times of isolation due to the worldwide pandemic. He created this album as a narrative to stay unified amidst separation. “I wanted to find an antidote to the isolation of this year,” explains Lazaro. “In a moment where barriers are at their highest, this is a challenge to every kind of border.” The variety of different musical influences makes each track diverse and compelling. The album opens with two soothing tracks, “Hello” and “The Silent Patient.” Previously released at the beginning of autumn, “The Silent Patient” explores a desire and longing for love and hope. The song is about a complicated relationship that illustrates love while comparing different seasons. The third track, “The World After You,” is laced with joyful acoustics and delightful melodies, creating a peaceful background for the lyrics. Since the album travels through a catalog of genres, more pop-influenced songs can be found in tracks like “The City Lights” and “Basement Love.” The title track “The Guest List” shows the agony of missing that special someone, while exploring the relationship between jazz and electronic pop.

Anthony Lazaro is an Italian indie singer-songwriter based in Hamburg, Germany. He describes himself as “musically obsessed” after discovering his love for music at a young age. Lazaro diversified his sound, giving him the ability to create beautiful songs that range from pop to downtempo, which can be heard throughout the album. Some of his musical inspirations are Chet Baker, Nina Simone, Amy Winehouse, Devendra Banhart, Bon Iver, and Jack Johnson. His music has been featured in Starbucks, Cosmopolitan, Bofrost, and the Amazon Prime series Russian Affairs. Lazaro has amassed over 330K monthly listeners on Spotify as well.

Anthony Lazaro successfully moved across genres and influences without losing his own sound and style in The Guest List. Ben Brown Drops Invigorating R&B Infused Single, “What You’re Leaving For”

Neo-soul Artist Brings a New Perspective to the Party Scene

Los Angeles, CA – Singer-songwriter Ben Brown has released the R&B influenced single “What You’re Leaving For,” a unique view of the typical party scene. Brown combines high tempo jazzy baselines with soulful, disco-infused melodies for this high energy single. “What You’re Leaving For” is now available to stream and download on digital music platforms worldwide.

Ben Brown’s “What You’re Leaving For” is an animated track that leads listeners to a feel-good party vibe, but has lyrics that tell a different story. “The opening lyrics about pouring drinks sets you up to think that it is going to be a party song, when in fact the song is ironically about getting to a club and hating the music, people, and wanting to go home to get a takeaway,” explains Brown. This song is a rare find as it intoxicates listeners with the head-banging party tempo while relaying a relatable story of how agonizing it can be to be a part of that scene. The R&B-influenced drum pattern gives the track the extra energy and buoyant feel intended to mock the subject matter. “Rather than hearing the same old poppin’ bottle in da club’ scenario and glossing over the generic lyrics, I am trying to entice people to follow what is going on in the song,” said Brown.

Ben Brown is a singer-songwriter from London who blends neo-soul, disco, and pop elements to create an exciting and infectious sound consisting of soulful vocal melodies and funky guitar licks. He has drawn influence from a variety of genres: from pop superstar Bruno Mars, to Tom Misch in the neo-soul scene, as well as acclaimed R&B artist Jamiroquai. Ben Brown collaborated with Will Paterson to help create different influences on the track. “I played the guitar over Will’s drums. I then laid down the bassline before performing the vocals. Will and I made the synths together before he finished up the production and mixed it,” explains Brown. The track was mastered by Kevin Tuffy at Alchemy Mastering.

Ben Brown’s dynamic, exhilarating track “What You’re Leaving For” is a party anthem with a refreshing twist. You can download or stream “What You’re Leaving For” now on digital music platforms worldwide. To keep up with Ben Brown’s journey, follow him on Instagram @BenBrown_uk.

Indie-Electro Band 88/89 Drop Versatile New EP Hit Me

British Duo Pen Tracks About Love, Connection, and Misunderstandings

Los Angeles, CA— Psych-pop duo, 88/89 pack quite the punch with their latest EP, Hit Me. Filled to the brim with soundscape melodies, the two Londoners demonstrate incredible control of pace while blending euphoric riffs smoothly. Hit Me is now available to stream and download on digital music platforms worldwide.

With Hit Me, 88/89 tells a story of love through a lens unseen. “The EP is about love, connection, and misunderstandings,” they explain. “Although the style of the songs is different, we wanted to find a journey in the order.” The British duo is on a quest to the center of a lover’s mind. Beautifully, they pull untapped feelings of affection through intricate tunnel-like vocals and guitar-synth combinations. The EP’s opening track, “The Man,” grasps being loved to the point of nirvana. Faster-paced tracks like this contrast well with slower numbers like “Different Stages,” creating a truly dynamic set of songs. “As a duo, we are quite young in our process and went in a lot of different directions at the beginning which I think you can hear in the tracks,” the band continues, “Our influences and motivations were constantly shifting while we wrote it.” Strung together by the strings of a Gretsch semi-acoustic, each song is specially sewn with a touch of rock. The group’s unmatched flair with the axe instantly turns each track into a classic. This effect shines through their song, “Wide Open.” The freeing track gives 88/89 a chance to loosen up and face the fear of the unknown. Lost, but dependent on distant lovers, the band explores what it feels like to lose control of a relationship. The title track showcases that, “‘Hit Me’ is about that moment in a relationship when you’re like ‘uh ooooooooo this is the real deal’ and the moments that take your breath away.” The band also dropped a lucid lyric video for “Hit Me,” which they shot on an iPhone during quarantine. Vocally, the band is evocative of bands like The Temper Trap, while the soundscape of synths and guitars are resonant with 80s neo-psychedelia and modern synth-pop bands like MGMT. Hit Me was recorded and produced by 88/89, mixed by Tim Rowkins (Maribou State, Mura Masa, Rina Sawayama) and mastered by Kevin Tuffy at Alchemy Mastering.

Hit Me marks much more than just a milestone for 88/89 band members, Jack (born in ‘88) and Michael (born in ‘89). Their worlds happened to collide just as they were being turned upside down. Jack, recently walking away from his alternative rock band and Michael, ashing out his acting career, saw a unique opportunity to collaborate creatively. Once together, they quickly realized their yin & yang vibrations were comparable to Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire’s. Their combined energy powers the debut 5-track EP. “The Hit Me EP is a collection of different sounds and styles that we’ve been experimenting with. We’d start a song just because we bought a new guitar pedal and finish it wanting to blend shoegaze with RnB and French electro. It was also fun to give ourselves limitations on certain songs before we started them. Like only using certain instruments or simple drum beats.”

Coming up on the new wave circuit, alongside the likes of Tame Impala and Vampire Weekend, 88/89 is ready to share their distinctive sound with the world. The duo have received praise from Notion, Acid Stag, Trunk Space Magazine, and been featured on HypeMachine. The Daily Listening says they “are well on their way to becoming one of indie-pop’s newest obsessions!” Download or stream Hit Me now on digital music platforms worldwide. Samantha Margret Releases Haunting and Moody Single “Feminist gf”

Rising Indie Pop Sensation Returns Fire With Female Empowerment Track

Los Angeles, CA – Alternative singer-songwriter Samantha Margret has released her compelling and impassioned single, “Feminist gf.” Margret uses her passion for feminist issues along with her melancholic instrumentals and vocals to create an easy to listen to, but poignant track. “Feminist gf” is now available to stream and download on digital music platforms worldwide.

Never afraid to speak her mind, Samantha Margret is dedicated to confronting social problems through her music. “Feminist gf” was inspired by a frustrating Zoom meeting with a man who claimed to be a feminist, but his words and actions during the session didn’t demonstrate that. “After the call, I was mad at him; I was mad at myself,” Margret explains. “Sometimes it cuts deeper when that kind of patriarchal hurt comes from someone you think is on your team. I think of myself as really outspoken and try to be the first to speak up when another woman is in trouble, but I sometimes have trouble when the comments are directed at me.” Margret’s staunch energy on the track allows listeners to join her in empowering the feminine voice. Her alt-indie sound, combined with a passionate message and animated instrumentals, creates the individual sound that Margret brings to the track. “I always try to write songs with messages I want to spread. They are all about living in joy and power. They’re unashamed and ready to have a good time.” “Feminist gf” is produced by John Caviness, aka Easy Morning, mixed by Michael Child, and mastered by Piper Payne at Infrasonic Sound.

Hailing from San Francisco, CA, Samantha Margret is a songwriter, artist, and producer who was exposed to a variety of music, including a mix of country lullabies, folk songs, and radio pop. Her music seeks creativity, originality, and sometimes even a good giggle. Margret’s soulful ballads convey the power of the female voice and tell stories about mental health and acceptance, while her uptempo pop songs are certainly not afraid of a good time. Reminiscent of artists like Julia Michaels, Marian Hill, Sara Bareilles, and Andra Day; Samantha Margret blends unique production with raw and intimate lyrics creating a fresh, fun, and original style.

Samantha Margret’s dynamic new song delivers an invigorating message over top of a somber soundscape. Download or stream “Feminist gf” now on digital platforms worldwide. To keep up with Margret’s journey, follow her on socials at @samanthamargret or visit SamanthaMargret.com.

Triple Threat Performer Blake English Just Wants To Be “Cool” On Catchy New Release

The Sleek Pop Anthem Details The Sacrifices Made On The Glamorous Artist’s Rise To Fame

Los Angeles, CA- Blake English, self-described pop-punk-theatre artist, has released his newest single, “Cool.” Through sleek pop production and clever lyrics, English remembers what it was like keeping up with his glamorous, Hollywood friends on his rise to fame. The instantly stuck in your head melody can be heard on all streaming platforms now.

Written after a party in the glamorous Hollywood Hills, “Cool” tells the story of many up-and-coming artists and those trying to fake it until they make it. Blake English was inspired by the fact that he was surrounded by successful figures in the entertainment industry while still trying to catch his big break. “It basically goes through my journey of maintaining my authenticity while also doing things to pander to the fame life,” explains English. Produced by K-Pop and J-Pop heavy hitters, SOFTSERVEBOY (Gwen Stefani, EXO-CBX, Eric Nam) and Sqvare (Monsta X), the song has a sleek, fresh pop sound while still maintaining English’s punk-influenced edge. This influence can be heard in the lyrics as well, contrasting witty cynicism and sarcasm with honesty and vulnerability in lines such as, “One’n up with my last pay stub; it’s fine I’m really fine I’m really fine…. done some things I regret, but for some fame, I’ll forget.” English’s avid fan base will find his newest release stuck in their heads and instantly relatable.

Born and raised in Athens, Georgia, and currently residing in Los Angeles, Blake English was trained in acting, singing, and dance, making him an experienced musician, and even more so – an entertaining and energetic performer. He’s proven these electric performance skills through headlining events for Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation, playing SXSW, and doing three national tours. English finds inspiration both sonically and visually in the more theatrical music legends such as David Bowie, Annie Lennox, Marilyn Manson, and Lady Gaga, giving nods to groups such as My Chemical Romance as well. Citing Gaga as his most prominent inspiration not only because of her expressive artistry and talent but because of her kind heart and empowering message, English aims to be the same kind of artist, a thought-provoking, and definitive change for good.

While “Cool” is, on the surface, an incredibly catchy pop song, English is also singing a vital reminder to hold on to your authenticity in a modern, flashy world. This newest release can be heard on all digital music platforms worldwide. To stay up to date with English’s journey, visit BlakeEnglishWorld.com.

Jono Dorr allows listeners to look into a darker time in his life and encourages the need to receive help when struggling in “Deep End.” The somber vocals in the song were inspired by the grief felt at the end of a relationship. “It’s about feeling like you need help. Real help from real friends when you’ve gone to the edge of your mind,” says Dorr. He creates the song’s raw energy through various sounds and other production skills he has obtained through his previous practice. “I wanted the production to feel like you’re having a nightmare at sea,” Dorr explains. “Deep End” reveals his diversity in sound; it draws from the folk genre, which is not usually incorporated in his other music. He studied philosophy and music at UC Santa Cruz, refining his love for creating and playing music. He briefly considered becoming a lawyer, but he was confronted by his unyielding passion for making music and decided to follow his dreams. 30 Watches A Loved One Self-Destruct on 90’s Alt/Rock Inspired “Your Skin Crawls”

Singer-songwriter Releases Heartbreaking Single In the Era of Unattainable Beauty Standards

Los Angeles, CA – Singer-songwriter 30 wrote, recorded, and produced his newest release “Your Skin Crawls” all within the confines of quarantine. Inspired by the sounds of 90s alt/rock, the single utilizes live violins and electric guitar to detail his experience of trying to save an ex from giving into bad habits and self-destructing under pressure. “Your Skin Crawls” is available to stream on all streaming platforms and is the first single off of his anticipated album, The Introspects of a Psycho.

An intro of sweeping violins, composed and performed by Rob Bedson, paints the picture of a fragile situation. Over loose chords of electric guitar, 30 recounts watching a girl he loved in a “downward spiral… insecure, hopeless, and developing bad habits.” “I tried over and over again to show her how special she was,” explains 30, before ultimately having to let go of the relationship. Through raw and genuine lyrics such as, “You’d rip your face off before you’d take off the makeup that’s covering the girl I love… I can’t help you anymore because the only one I think could really help is you,” the song details the topic of insecurities and self-doubt that plague many 20-somethings living in a world of unattainable beauty standards and social media criticism. While many self-help anthems have been written to motivate listeners to rise above these pressures, “Your Skin Crawls” connects to those who have had to watch their loved ones crumble under their weight. With support from Rob Bedson on violin, Jeremy Sauber on drums, Darren Lipper on bass, and Pete Furmato on guitar, 30’s raw, perfectly imperfect vocals and the live instrumentation strengthen the vulnerable nature of the song. Furmato was instrumental in bringing the song to fruition; he expanded on the guitar chord progression and also helped fill in the blanks where it was needed. The clear nods to 90’s alt/rock trends are mixed with modern production to create a sound that is both current and nostalgic, fresh and familiar but most of all, immediately relatable.

Born in Williamstown, MA, 30 has been singing and rapping since before he can remember. He picked up guitar and piano at a young age and hasn’t stopped writing music since, with his style shifting from hip-hop and rap towards rock and alternative over the years. Listening through his discography you can hear influences of his favorite artists which range from Kanye West and Kid Cudi to Cage The Elephant and The Kooks, with many in between. 30 is passionate about activism especially in supporting the BLM movement and frequently discusses issues of mental health through his music. Since moving to New York City two years ago, 30 has released two EPs featuring industry veterans such as producer Kato On The Track, Mike Stud, and Mod Sun and has gained over 180,000 monthly Spotify listeners.

30 is a multi-talented singer, rapper, songwriter, and producer that has already captured the attention of many fans for his ability of writing catchy, current music that discusses serious topics in a genuine way. “Your Skin Crawls” is his most stripped back release yet, that is sure to touch anyone that listens. He recently moved to Colorado in order to find song writing inspiration and focus on his craft. To stay up to date with 30’s next projects, including the release of his anticipated album, The Introspects of a Psycho, you can follow him on Instagram and Twitter @iam30music.

Zachary Kibbee Releases New Video For “Somewhere To Put My Gold”

Los Angeles-Based Alternative Rock Artist Showcases Authentic Rock ‘N’ Roll Energy

Los Angeles, CA – Los Angeles rocker Zachary Kibbee has released the new video for his single, “Somewhere To Put My Gold.” The track is a part of his new album Life In Low Fidelity, released earlier this summer. Kibbee exhibits sincere enthusiasm for music with his unique combination of modern alternative rock elements with his authentic gritty, bluesy style in his video. Zachary Kibbee’s “Somewhere To Put My Gold” video is now available to view on his YouTube channel.

Zachary Kibbee and his fellow band members, Derrick Wong and Jessica Goodwin, passionately jam out together in the video for “Somewhere To Put My Gold.” Wong and Goodwin provide energetic bass playing and exuberant drumming that accentuate Kibbee’s rangy vocals and heavy guitar playing. The video is brimming with confident rockstar energy. Kibbee struts around while zealously rocking out; “Somewhere To Put My Gold” is a thrilling experience both visually and acoustically. The song’s inspiration came from one of Kibbee’s co-writers, Frank Palazzolo, commenting on his swagger. “Frank said he really liked my swagger and had a lyric that he thought would fit my style, ‘somewhere to put my gold.’ I loved the idea, so we ran with that concept: swagger and gold,” explains Kibbee. The video was directed by Danny Herb and produced by Eric McNeely, who also co-wrote the song with Frank Palazzolo and Kibbee. With COVID-19 still running rampant, it’s not an ideal time to gather as a group, so Kibbee wanted to ensure that everyone involved in the shoot was operating with the best Covid prevention practices. “It’s definitely an interesting time to shoot a music video. We opted for a skeleton crew and made sure to maintain social distancing between and even during takes. I asked that everyone wear masks and get tested,” explains Kibbee. “I was so grateful that everyone was on the same page as far as keeping everyone safe and healthy while getting the job done with such a minimal crew.”

Zachary Kibbee is a rock artist born and raised in Los Angeles. Music took over his life at the age of 14 when he swapped out a baseball bat for a bass guitar. His immense love for blues and rock and influence from bands such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Black Keys, and Led Zeppelin has crafted his unique, riveting musical style. His songs have been heavily licensed for commercials including Victoria’s Secret, Volkswagen, Microsoft, and Uber Eats, and for film/TV like Ray Donovan, Daredevil, Lucifer, Shameless, Just Mercy and more. Kibbee has toured the world several times over, sharing the stage with bands like Social Distortion, CKY, Eagles of Death Metal, and more. He is endorsed by Coffin Cases, GHS Strings, PigHog Cables, Reunion Blues Gig Bags, and Rockin’ Roller Carts.

She takes her listeners with her on her journey through personal struggles and conflicts, coming out on the other side of self-realization. In her first track of the album, “Easy Living,” she sets the mood for the album through her laid back harmonies and instrumentals. This paints the picture of her past with old friends in California. On track four, “Good” featuring NEZZA, she uses honest lyrics with soothing instrumentals to tell a story of love, heartache, and new beginnings. A video for “Good” was released earlier this year.
