Hip-hop Duo Explore the Dichotomy of Biology and Technology in New EP

James “Taz” Conley (lyricist) and Riley “Goon” Taylor (producer) are the rambunctious masterminds behind the captivating flow and sensual beats reminiscent of legends such as Kendrick Lamar, J. The Seige began their musical partnership as organically as one can: mutual friends. A few years following their move to California, the pair of friends brought up the idea of creating music together. Conley and Taylor were hesitant to bring up the topic of working together, both wanting to respect the others creativity.  Eventually, the musical connection was made; “it ended up being so dope, we just decided to keep working and become a duo. It was a no brainer,” explains Taylor.

The lead single from the EP, “Back Up,” has already garnered praise from publications including Hip Hop DX, Good Music All Dayand Underground Hip Hop. Hip Hop DXdescribed the track as an “adrenaline rush!” Their impressive resume includes having their music featured in movie trailers such as 12 Strong, Mission Impossible 6 as well as working with the NBA, NFL and Premier Soccer League. 90’s Alt-Rock Inspired Singer Songwriter Releases Heartfelt New Track

 Los Angeles, CA – Building on the stepping-stones placed by past grunge artists like Nirvana and Soundgarden, female singer-songwriter, “talker” continues to innovate the genre of grunge-pop with her new single, “Intimidated.”  A beautiful blend of raw vocals, acoustic guitar, and heavy-hitting grunge rock, this track is a hauntingly potent piece of music that showcases talker’s talent in its purest form. “Intimidated” is now available to stream and download on digital music platforms worldwide.

Showcasing a softer, more intimate style for this grunge-oriented artist, “Intimidated” begins with a beautiful acoustic introduction complimented by powerful, yet gentle, vocals. On top of the impressive vocal performance, the song’s lyrics are a vulnerable confession about the struggles of feeling overwhelmed by failure. From the ballad-like introduction, to the head banging closing chorus, “Intimidated” is an emotional rollercoaster that can be, at times, eerily relatable. While discussing “Intimidated,” talker details the process of creating what she considers to be her favorite piece of work; “Because I wasn’t trying to write an amazing song, and was just trying to get my emotions out and help myself feel better, it ended up being really vulnerable and honest, and I think it’s really relatable.” With just a quick listen, it’s evident that talker truly poured her heart and soul into this track.

Written by talker (Celeste Tauchar), “Intimidated” was produced by Dan Sadin, who also played electric guitar, mixed by Jesse Ernster and mastered by Dave Harris. In the performance itself, talker provides vocals, acoustic guitar, and bass on the track, and percussionist Jake Reed plays the drums.

Originally from Folsom, California, Celeste Tauchar started her musical project,  “talker” just one year ago. Now at the youthful age of 23, Tauchar is already an accomplished artist. After earning a spot as a finalist in the highly competitive “Guitar Center Songwriter 5” competition, Tauchar performed at a concert headlined by City and Colour. Since then, she’s played a number of shows with artists such as HOLYCHILD, Dan Sadin, Colver,  and has extensive experience touring as a touring member of FRENSHIP. Now working as a full-time artist, Tauchar has big plans for talker, including a full EP release in the coming months.

Folk-pop Duo Unveil LP Ahead of Pacific Northwest Tour

 Portland, OR – Oregon-based duo, Fox and Bones, narrate tales of love, self-discovery and adventure on their sophomore LP, Better Land.  Leading with the singles, “Love Me Like a River,” “Little Animal” and “Roots,” the album expertly fuses elements of pop, folk and country that leave the listener suspended wistfully in air. Sarah Vitort (vocals) and Scott Gilmore are the masterminds behind the colorful personas “Fox and Bones.” The pair wanted their characters to have some element of fiction, to allow their songwriting to be more imaginative and kind-hearted. There’s Fox, a down-and-out it girl, and Bones, a rootless orphan bad boy with a heart of gold. The two fall for each other, decide to hit the road and never look back, just as Vitort and Gilmore did upon meeting. The characters, as well as their real-life counterparts, use music as the soundtrack to their whimsical adventures that defy traditional relationship roles and life goals.

While studying at USC, Lewis had a number of musically transformative experiences including meeting his best friend and singing with USC’s world-renowned a cappella group, the SoCal Vocals. After graduating, his best-friend and musical inspiration passed away suddenly, inspiring Lewis to carry the musical torch that two had once lit together. Now a few years into his musical career, Lewis was a contestant on NBC’s The Sing Off, a show known for jumpstarting Grammy winning group PENTATONIX’s career. A jack of all trades, Lewis has also appeared on a variety of shows including How I Met Your Mother, Revenge, and The People V. OJ Simpson.
